Cruising the Coast - RV Style
We went on a trip with Daniel's brother, Mike, and his family of 8 to the Oregon Coast in an RV. It was GREAT! Here are some of the highlights:
Multnomah Falls
Portland Zoo
We stayed the nights @ Fort Stevens National Park, right by Astoria, and 1 mile away from this Shipwreck Beach
While in Astoria we had to visit the Goonies houses:
We then visited the Astoria Column with over 190 stairs to the top. Here is our view of the huge RV looking like a caterpillar from the top. Daniel drove that RV like a champ!
Lewis & Clark State Park @ Fort Clatsop
Ecola State Park: There was a sign driving up to this look out that said "Trailers not recommended, Narrow road" I must have been the only one who saw it, because we kept driving. Daniel drove the 30 foot bus up the narrow road, driving inches from the edge of the road and almost crushing smaller vehicles. Then came the sign that said "Dip in the Road". There was no way back, couldn't turn around so forward ho! Mike got out and inched us forward. It was well worth it for these 2 pictures of Cannon Beach:

Eliza did not like the climb or being so high up!! It was really windy up there too. |

Andrew's 3, 4 + 5 months
As you can see, he has become a very happy, smiley, laughing baby! He is so playful and screams when he is excited! We just started some oatmeal and squash... best beginner eater ever! He can't get enough!
Porter is 4!
I'm finally getting around to posting Porter's 4th Birthday! He had an Angry Birday Party, and it was a real hoot!
Boys playing Pop the Pig, we also had Angry Bird dodge ball, Don't Drop the Egg relay, Bird Toss with clothespins and pom-poms. |
Toys, any toy really, but cars, airplanes, dragons, animals, trains, legos, transformers, avengers - He's all boy!
Pizza, Doritos, COOKIES, watermelon, pineapple
The color Green
He loves his extended family, he always talks about when he can go see them!
He has the softest cheeks ever and if you are lucky, he'll let you kiss them. But you have to be a girl and be pretty!
He loves to pray and help Jesse say the prayer. Just last night he said, "Please bless mom that she won't be a girl or a muppet, just a mom."
I have been Porter's primary teacher/preschool teacher for over a year and I have loved that time spend with him and being able to understand him a little better through his 3 yr old phase. I look forward to this next year with him too! We love you Ports!
