babbling Porter

I finally got this to load, it is from last week. This kid loves to be looked at and talked to and smiles all the time.

Oop, Sorry

A lady at church the other day pinches Porter's cheeks and says I need to take a picture of him with little angel wings because he looks just like a little cheribum.

We went to the Southridge Homecoming game Friday night and it was a blast. They are the Southridge Suns (the yellow blobs that look like mustard on our face was an attempt at our school spirit). It was fun to see a lot of Daniel's students so involved. The marching band was great!! We won too!

Sunday Pictures

Every time Eliza's falls down, I pick her up and say "oops, sorry" and brush her off. I've rubbed off and every time she drops something or falls down she says "oop sawy". She repeats everything we say. She says her K sounds as a T. Example: milk is milt, pink is pint. She makes us laugh.

Our Week

Thursday night we had a BBQ with some friends and Eliza really loves their kids, Libby, Larry and Adelyn. This is Eliza and Adelyn giving hugs.

I usually find Eliza trying to snuggle up to Porter at some point during the day. She loves that kid!

Every time we go to the store we have to be sure to stop by the toy section. Most parents avoid this section or they might have to come home with a new toy, but Eliza is pretty good to spend some quality time with the selected toy (here it is a pony) and then say goodbye.
Friday night our ward had an adult activity "Clue Night". I was Mrs. Peacock and Eliza had a lot of fun dancing around in my feather boa.

Here I was trying to capture Eliza bangs, I prefer to call them Whispies. I just trimmed a few of her straggley hairs that were always getting in her eyes.

About once a week we go have lunch with dad at the seminary. There are about 40 of his students who come over for lunch too, so it is a big party. They are good to our little kids!

This week we were thinking about Halloween and thinking about costume ideas. We received this cute angel costume for Eliza and it was too big last year and slightly too small this year, but we tried it on and couldn't resist taking some footage of our silly 'Liza.

Experimenting with Video

This is about 2 1/2 years ago on our Honeymoon @ Disney Land. I just wanted to see if I could do video from our computer. I can, enjoy. It seems so long ago.

Elizabub

Eliza is exactly 19 months old. She is such a helpful big sister and loves her "Poy". She also loves to sing, dance and watch, can you guess, The Little Mermaid! She looks just like her daddy and loves him lots too!

Porter Daniel Black

Porter is a chub. As of last Thursday he weighs 17.4 lbs. and he is 25 inches long. We'll have to get him started in football pretty soon here. Maybe he'll end up playing for the cougers (BYU that is). We love to nibble on his cheeks! That's our Porker.

We Are Here!!

We are here in Washington now and all settled in. I thought I'd start a blog to keep far away family and friends up to date. We love our little place here in Pasco and couldn't feel more blessed!
