Happy Anniversary Daniel. These really have been the best three years of my life! There has been nothing but smiles since!

WCP is back
Eliza insists on holding Porter's hand during every car ride. After eating lunch with Dad on Thursday we pulled into our garage and this is what I saw.
This is Eliza's "holding Porter" Face. She grins from ear to ear with her head back. Utter Joy. (while Porter is chewing her hand off)
This is my cute Half Notes Music class (5-7 years old). We had a cookies and milk rehearsal last Tuesday. We decorated them and ate them AFTER we sang. We will be performing at the From the Heart Care Center tomorrow!

6 months old and time for a haircut
Before
Eliza came into the family room in this get-up saying "Hey Dude". She loves to dress up and wear our shoes around the house. She has on Dad's Tiger Wood's hat and one of Mommy's boots. What class!
I wasn't going to start Porter on solids for another month or so, but he pouts big time when he sees us eating, so we fed him some oatmeal a few nights this week and he loved it.
Imagine you are going about 70 mph down the freeway after a day at work and you hear this loud pop noise and the next thing you see is glass flying everywhere. This is what happened to Daniel on Thursday. The window on the Driver's side for no obvious reason at all exploded. Nothing hit it, it wasn't abnormally cold. It is a mystery, but all fixed now and we are just grateful that Daniel wasn't hurt and was able to keep driving safely through the incident. Random!

Chubby Porter
Dizzy Eliza
There once was a little girl,
A little girl who loved to twirl.
She would go round and round
until she would fall down.
Oh, what a silly little girl.

Do I thank you enough?
Daniel, no, it's not father's day or your birthday, but it should be Daniel day! Thank you for all you do! You helped me out a lot this last week, and I want you to know how much I appreciate you.
You are a great dad!
You are a great dad!
You help me with all the house stuff (like cleaning the stove, and the metal things, without me asking)!
Last week we went on a hike to Badger Mountain. It was a beautiful view overlooking the Columbia River (and the temple, can you see it?).
Eliza drank out of Dad's camel-pack, she wouldn't even stop for a picture.
Beware Ye Pacifiers
thanks for all the helpful advice about getting rid of Eliza's pacifier
she still grabs Porter's every now and then for a little suck, but one look from mom and she gives it back

What's on your Thanksgiving menu?
I love thanksgiving! This is my first year doing it alone , yes a whole turkey intimidates me! I have some family coming so I would love it to be nice! What's on your Thanksgiving menu. I guess I should also say that I am a simplifier! I do most things in the simplest degree. I would love any tips, comments and/or menu ideas! Thanks!

Super Baby
I have a video of me at 8 months old and my Grandpa Gibbons doing super baby to me. My grandpa is gone now, but I will never forget how good he was to all of us grandkids! He loved to sing songs with our names in it (Brookie Cookie) and made us feel special. I see a lot of Gibbons in this little boy!

Pacifier Advice...
We are trying to help Eliza get rid of her paci's however, it is difficult when little brother Porter's is just as tasty as hers is. Our new pediatrician says to loose the paci as soon as possible (especially with girls or it could ruin their smile). Any advice is welcome!
PS: this cute pacifier attatchment was made by her, we love it!

WCP:
Don't worry, no children were hurt in the taking of this picture!
Eliza knows she can't sit on Porter, but she has found ways to still have him be her pretend pony.
Sorry, the next post was a struggle!

Anyone up for some Halloween Leftovers?
Our ward put on a Trunk or Treat
These are our missionaries, there were two other missionaries that were the Book of Mormon and Bible. They did a little dance while the kids sang scripture power! We've become good friends with these guys!(I am having all sorts of struggles with formatting this post!)
Pirate Eliza
Parrot Porter
Porter is a big "sucker"
He'll suck on anything from his bottom lip to both his hands at the same time!
What horrible monsterous beast demolished this delicious apple?
The 'Liza Monster
She started eating the apple from the bottom and we couldn't convince to avoid the occasionally seed she would get by eating it that way. She is content in her own ways!!

My first Tag
10 Things I love:
1 - Life
2 - My Family (Daniel, Eliza and Porter)
3 - Laughing- I heard a joke today:
A man got a phone call from his Dr., the Dr. said "Do you want the bad news or the worse news first?" The man said the bad news. The Dr. told him, "You have 24 hrs. to live." The man said, "What could be worse than that?" The Dr. said "I tried to call you yesterday."
4 - Music (singing to Broadway songs and singing to my kids)
Check out these guys, I love their music!
5 - Scriptures- I treasure nap time, it is "me" time where I can sit and ponder about important things. Since school started I have made it my Scripture study time. I love it!! (I realize this is a luxury and to not take it for granite!)
6 - Family History- go here and start to love it yourself!
7 - Sleeping the whole night through.
8 - Being a Mother- I love the opportunity we as women have of raising and rearing children, it has truly been a blessing in my life! My children bring me so much joy!
9 -Seeing Family (only 50 days until our Utah Trip!)
10 - My Savior who has been through everything so He can comfort and support not only me, but all of us!
